nice antenna ,perfect for President Andy II FCC.

Looks good

Looks like it belongs on the vehicle. Could have a longer coax but it’s just enough for a 2018 Subaru Outback

Easy to install

Easy to install and no tuning. Love it!!

Great antenna

This antenna was the answer I needed for mounting a CB antenna on a newer SUV. The appearance is clean - not gawdy or obtrusive. The magnet is strong, and the antenna angle is somewhat adjustable. The antenna comes pre-tuned, which I confirmed with a SWR meter. This is a great option for a magnetic mount CB antenna!

Just kinda Works

Every big Antenna works better then it when tuned. When are the big dogs even turned correctly??? This is just stick on the car. screw the plug into the radio and the SWR is less then 1.3 across the band. Talk 6 miles with 4 watts is doable without going to hell for lying. Can listen to locals without skip over washing them as the big dog, big ears antennas do. It also likes 162 MHz weather stations. Only negative is the 10 year warranty that have to collected in Barcelona, Spain.

Works perfectly out of the box.

No problems at all with this antenna. 1.1/1 out of the box. I have it matched up with a President Bill CB. Great setup for moving from vehicle to vehicle and to pack along for vacations. Thin coax makes for easy routing from the roof/trunk to the passenger compartment. You’ll be very satisfied with this purchase.

Amazing on my President Ronald

I got this antenna for a Mazda 3. My wife didn’t like how the Wilson looked on top. Put it on top and hooked it up to Ronald and easy as that it was a 1.0, 1.3, 1.0. I don’t think you can ask for more than that. Did a radio check which I figured would be pointless from my driveway because I live in the boonies and to my surprise I got a load and clear response....

Easy and simple

Easy to install with a very low SWR that doesn't require a lot of work to get low. It's 1.1 for me out of the box and placed in the center of my Toyota Sienna van. Great reception on the President Randy! I hear stations from hundreds of miles away on the DX but I'm still in the mud to anyone beyond 5 miles line of sight or so. Recommend using an RM KL203P amp and the President McKinley with this antenna to "get out" a little better. Great starter antenna for people who don't really want to be adjusting for SWR all the time. About as plug and play as you can get for a magmount.

Does what it says it will

I'm only giving 5 stars because it is exactly what it says it is, and does exactly what it says it will do. Its a good working antenna. Its not the best one ever made, but anyone looking for a cosmetically pleasing and good working antenna, this is it. There is no tuning available on this but overall as low swr. It makes it quick to install and get you transmitting.

Great antenna.

Easy to set up, strong magnet, folds up and down flat for higher vehicles going into parking garages etc..

Great product !

So was worried about it, because you don’t have to tune it. I really gives you a low SWR on the meter.

Great

great but the cable is too short to run from top of my truck to inside!

Works good

The only complaint is the cable is to short. Installed on the roof of an 2006 Toyota Tundra

If the antenna is what’s keeping you from installing a radio, look no further!

If you give this antenna anything less than 5 stars it’s because you either don’t know anything about CB (or radio in general) or your setup is all wrong. This antenna is never going to perform as well as a large whip or fiberglass antenna, but you should know that going into it with only 20 inches of antenna. You can create electrical length all you want but physical length is what counts with receiving. So now having said all that, if you either don’t want a large whip antenna for aesthetic reasons or can’t have one because of garages, then this is the antenna for you. I installed this today on my dad’s F150. I’m using it with a President Bill radio and a RM Italy KL203P amplifier. The amp runs about 100ish watts and has a pre-amp, so it does boost the receive a bit. I had a crystal clear conversation today with a guy that was 2.5 miles line of sight. I would say without a pre-amp that would be about the best you can expect out of this antenna, but chances are if you’re looking at an antenna like this, that’s about all you would need. As a comparison, before this antenna I was using a Larsen NMO27B and was talking to a guy who was 12 miles line of sight from me. That antenna is a 49” base loaded whip so it is two and a half times the length of this antenna. I would say with a pre-amp you can expect maybe out to 5ish miles in good conditions on this antenna. Also, my SWR on channel 1 was 1.3:1, on 40 it was 1.5:1, and on 19 it was 1.1:1. Surprising on an antenna this short, super surprising on a magnet mounted antenna this short.

Good deal - a compromise antenna at a decent price with low SWR - the winner for this antenna type!

..... This is not an ideal antenna...This a compromise antenna - meaning it's nowhere near the perfect physical length. It's electrically a 1/4 wave - looks like its wound around a plastic or fiberglass pole, so it needs a good ground plane - IE the center of your roof. I use this on my wife's minivan because she doesn't want a 4-foot firestik or anything like that. This is the closest thing you can get to "stealth" while having a functioning antenna. Most importantly - out of the box I saw a 1:1 SWR - that is SUPER low for a compromise antenna. There's no way to tune this, so that's a good number out of the box. That means I'm getting the full 4 watts out of my radio (more or less) transmitted out. I replaced a whip antenna on a mag mount (2:1 SWR) with this and I'm definitely reaching further distances. Note that this is in the center of a minivan roof - a very large ground plane. Does this beat my firestik or my home CB antenna? Of course not. But for the price it offers a good compromise between form and function and looks like a modern car antenna. There's really nothing else in this space that compares. If you are looking for something semi-stealth this is really your only usable option.

pleasantly surprised

This antenna really surprised me. It came pre tuned and works better then my old k30. Its great for entering garages with out the wack wack wack of longer antennas. It looks like a factory item on my Toyota Tundra.
